Aaron is 26 and lives in Whakatane, Bay Of Plenty, New Zealand.
He is an avid supporter of New Zealand Music and a new ambition
of his is to have a radio station with studios based in New Zealand,
which would broadcast its 100% New Zealand music format programme

happening back home in New Zealand.
His favourite kiwi bands are the classic NZ bands from the late
70's & 80's like Dragon. Out of those a few of his favourite Kiwi
Artists are Dave Dobbyn (Th' Dudes/DD Smash and solo), Neil & Tim
Finn (Split Enz/Crowded House and solo).

Interview excerpt from "Logging
Monthly"
Logging Legend
by Sally Lacious
It is a darkened bar in Downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada) where
this reporter first meets the legendary Quebec lumberjack Jacques
De Salaberry Beauharnois de Crembrule of the Temiscimingue logging
Region. Jacques was casually dressed in his best plaid logging
shirt and wearing a festive toque. The reporter was able to
ask Jacques these questions.
Logging Monthly:
Nice to meet you finally Jacques... This is a real thrill
to meet a legend like you!!
Jacques from Temiscimingue:
Mais Oui! I am sure that c'est un thrill fer you ma chere! I tink
maybe you and me, we should do dis interview in ma room, n'est ce
pas?
LM:
Uhhh.... ummmm..... I understand you have left the logging
industry lately. Can you tell us why?
JfT:
Well, de moose, dey were starting to look attractiv to me...
I was forget how beautiful de women are since I was too much in
the bush. So, I loaded de truck full of ma Quebec beer favourite,
Maudite, and I frappe
la rue to find des noveau adventures with novelles womens.
But ma chere, let us talk about you... do you tink I am sexy?
LM:
Uhhh.... ummmm..... I understand all did not go well with
your trip...
JfT:
Oui, my truck, she broked down near Winnipeg. Some gars named
Jean Senior gave me a tow into Winnipeg. My truck, she need
$2000 repairs to
be on de road encore! But ma chere, tell me... you and
me and a botille de champange and de stars... Come to me ma
chere!
LM:
Uhhh.... ummmm..... So why are you still in Winnipeg...
JfT:
Jean, he offere me a job as producer of his radio show. I
thawt he was .... how you say??? Fou??? ahh yes... crazy.
Why would Jacques De Salaberry Beauharnois de Crembrule be a lowly
radio producer... But den,
when I visit de studio, I notice all dese hot jeune filles dat past
de studio go. It is the night for de residence at de campus
bar! So I sit and watch dese babes as I money for de repairs
de truck gets. C'est beau!
But ma chere... I tink your pants would on my floor look great!
LM:
Uhhh.... ummmm..... Maybe you could tell me about your logging
exploits...

CHRIS

|
Chris is the epitome of "the host with the most."
One time the king of manic wit when DUUO was broadcast on CHRY 105.5
in Toronto. A PhD candidate in Physics at York University.
Chris Stewart is tall, trendy, with a good strong head of
teeth, but otherwise, no, not really. Here is a self portrait.
Chris is a grad student in Physics at York, despite many warnings.
He grew up in Sunny Queensland, Australia, and if poked in the ribs
will tell long and boring stories that begin with 'Back home in
Toowoomba...' His adorable accent, somewhere between pure strine
and mongrel POM, has landed him in the lap of a local Chilean Bombshell
to whom he is now betrothed.
On the D.U.U.O. show, Chris added a little colour, a little schrewd
commentary, and a lack of knowledge about the Australian music scene
in general. He used to have the odd rant, and can go a bit lewd,
a bit blue, a bit dancing-nudie-style-around-the-studio-to-old-AC/DC-tunes
at times.
He would like to see more Sherbert and Little River Band played
on commercial radio. He thinks North York is the cultural hub of
the country.
"The most valuable contributions this show has made to the
world of community radio would have to be the first promotion in
North York of a band called My Friend The Chocolate Cake, and the
furtherment of the prodigious talent of one Wesley Willis,"
Chris was heard to say recently.
If you would like to contact Chris, for advice, encouragement or
just plain abuse, put fingertip to keyboard to send a steaming,
sweaty document through the email provider of your choice, out across
the aether using that magic carpet that is the internet, to:
Chris

MELISSA

|
Melissa bears a striking resemblance to the television heroine
Xena.
While Melissa has retired from active duty with DUUO, she continues
to pursue a teaching career in Ontario.
Melissa Cowen began her career in radio at CHSR in Fredericton,
New Brunswick. At CHSR she was the researcher and writer for a radio
music magazine known as the DownUnder Music Review (DUMR). She also
produced the Friday evening program with the help of announcer Gene
Senior.
The half hour DUMR program featured new music and interviews from
antipodean bands interested in the North American market. It was
paired with a syndicated radio program from Australia called the
Big Back Yard.
When the DUMR program headed to Toronto (and changed names to DUUO),
Melissa brought along her writing skills and continued to contribute
to the program. At the same time, she also took a job as an elementary
school teacher.
Since DUUO moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba Melissa has occasionally
contributed to the program as a downunder music reporter.
