Lynne is the newest member of the DownUnder UpOver
crew.
Upon reaching adulthood, Lynne did the uni thing for a stretch
and managed to acquire a Commerce degree from the University of
Manitoba. Wanting to avoid the workplace, she decided to grab a
backpack and venture beyond the confines of North America. Having
met heaps of really cool Aussies and Kiwis traveling through Europe,
Lynne figured something pretty exciting must be going on in the
Southern Hemisphere, so she used a free flight coupon to spend 3
months in New Zealand and a year in Oz. It was during that time
she really got into the music there (thanks Triple J!).
With her (forced) return to Canada (damn those expiring visas),
Lynne found out about DownUnder UpOver and tracked down Gene like
an obsessed fan, demanding to become a part of his show. Gene, scared
for his life, relented and Lynne Skromeda has been co-hosting DownUnder
UpOver since early February 2000.
Lynne has since made 2 more trips to Oz to visit friends and get
more music for the show, so be sure to tune in every week to see
what comes up next!
Likes (apart from the obvious stuff): vegetarian food (especially
spicy stuff), The Powerpuff Girls, Emily the Strange, hiking anywhere
her two legs can get her, documentaries, dictionaries, beer, beer
and beer.
Dislikes: mean people, black licorice, sleeping

Recently, Lynne and Frantic
Films have been producing a number of history related television
programs. Her current list of television accomplishments includes
Pioneer
Quest: A Year in the Real West, Quest
for the Bay, and Klondike:
Quest for Gold. All of these programs have aired on Canada's
History Television
and in turn can be seen on Life Network as well.
