This week we were planning on taking a closer look at the new album from
the Gentle Assasins but we're putting that off for another week so that
we could take a listen to some of the winners from the 2004 TUIS - The
New Zealand Music Awards.

2004 Tui NZ Music Awards winners

Scribe cleaned up at this year's Tuis. He took home Album of the Year, Best Urban/Hip Hop Album and Best Male Solo Artist, Best Single, the People's Choice Award, and shared the Songwriter of the Year Award, along with co-writers P-Money, Con Psy and Savage. In Australian music news, Scribe’s ‘The Crusader’ entered the album chart at number 44, while Not Many – The Remix/Stand Up is still in the top 50 singles after an impressive 21 weeks, peaking at number 21. Scribe will be playing Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra & Brisbane with guests P Money, DJ D Form, Frontline, and Mareko & Savage from Deceptikonz.

Speaking of Kiwi's in Oz... Evermore’s ‘It’s Too Late’ has been voted Number One on the Triple J Net 50. The single reached number 28 in the national singles chart, has spent 7 weeks in the Top 50. The band toured Australia early September, and go out again for much of October.

Aus band Shifter is touring the east coast this October with fellow Brisbane bands Halfday and Denvar. The tour coincides with the release
of Shifter's new EP, 'Butter' which will be in stores October 11.

The new Ruteger self titled extended player will be out on October 11th
through Robot/Shock Records.

Steve Parkin (Ex-Autopilot) is releasing his album Sandytown through
Shock Records on September 27th. Featuring members of ESKIMO JOE, End of
Fashion and the Avenues.
