NEWS:
The Living End hit the road this September and October, for their first
national Australian tour in a year. Coinciding with the tour is the release
of a special collection CD and DVD due out in September.
Sounds Like Sunset have released a new single, 'Frequency', through the
Architecture Label. The single is taken from the band's forthcoming sophomore
album, due for release in September. The single is currently available
as a MP3 download from www.architecturelabel.com
After the Fall will be doing a national tours this August in support of
their new album, 'As Far As Thoughts Can Reach'. The album is out now
through Festival Mushroom Records. Special guest for all dates will be
Adelaide's The Hot Lies.
Before touring the UK in August as part of the Edinburgh Fringe, Man
Bites God will play one last Australian show on Wednesday July 28 at the
Rob Roy Hotel, Fitzroy. The band's journey to the Edinburgh Fringe will
be the subject of a six part television documentary, by independent Sydney-based
producer Mary Harrington.
new Zealand's Fang have three new members: Bronwen Robertson, Tom Clark
and Brignall Wood and are to release new album Swim Up Stream
this August.
A number of ex pat Aucklanders are making their home in Melbourne. The
kids in Pan Am are preparing for the Australian release of their self
titled album. Meanwhile other artists who have relocated the weather-indecisive
city include Aunty Dave Benge, Fur patrol, Betchadupa and Pacifer.
Speaking of Fur Patrol, they will join the Datsuns on their six theatre
shows next month for Michael Coppel Presents.
New Zealand band Evermore are heading back home after calling Sydney
home for a while. They are returning to NZ to tour through August and
September.
Antiskeptic will head back out on the road for some club dates in support
of their album Aurora. The tour will include Sean Daly, the original bass
player, now back performing with the band. This tour will coincide with
the release of a limited edition 7-inch single of the song More Than Kind,
re-recorded with screams and cello. Get the vinyl at the shows or online
