NEWS:
The Transmission Plot management company has teamed up with Sydney band
The Devoted Few (good to see that they're recognizing the
awesome potential in this band!)
Apparently Roger Daltrey of the Who is something of a Jet
fan.
Perth band Team Jedi recently played their final show after nine years.
They played last weekend at the Amplifier Bar, with sets from Showbag,
Kav Temperley (Eskimo Joe) and Luke Bostelman (Flanders).
Killing Heidi have new single called "I Am."
It was the most added track on radio last week, helped (no doubt) by its
inclusion on the Spiderman 2 soundtrack
Festival Music Publishing has signed Paul Barrett, songwriter and lead
vocalist/guitarist for New Zealand four piece Pan AM. FMR
will release their self titled debut album on July 12 and the band will
be touring Australia next month.
Newcastle based By Design Records will release the compilation Independence:
Volume Two on Monday, July 5. The comp features Screamfeeder, Spencer
Tracy, Vantage, Fourth Floor Collapse, Second Dan, The Ross Orbit Stack,
Giants of Science, Draw the Line, Best Kept Secret, Lowride,
Dappled Cities Fly, Amy Vee & The Virtues, iOTA, Tim
Reid, The Winter Ship and Showbag. www.bydesignrecords.com
Goldenhorse (NZ) are relaunching their debut album Riverhead
with new cover art and a previously unreleased track. The new re-release
is available June 28th.
