NEWS:
* Ben Birchall (singer for Klinger) is working with Daz and Glenn
for a solo(ish) EP due out in mid March.
* The next single to be lifted from the latest Something for Kate
album will be 'Moving Right Along.' The single will be released on Monday
29th March. Look out for the video for Moving Right Along late next week.
* The newest single from Bodyjar and the "Jarchives"
album is called "Don't sell me out" and hits the airwaves on
Monday March 8.
* Goodshirt and The Mint Chicks have had to pull out of SXSW. Goodshirt
will not be able to attend this year's festival as they are already committed
to dates in Japan. The Mint Chicks have cancelled all of their upcoming
international commitments for personal reasons.
* Paselode are hungry ... So are we to hear more of their music
... They are playing at the following locations:
March 3rd. Massey Bar, Wellington.
March 4th. Eastside, Wellington.
March 12th. Ambassador, Auckland.
March 13th. Edens Bar, Auckland.
March 18th. Bar Bodega, Wellington.
* The full length debut from eight is available in stores in New
Zealand from March 1st. The album features 'Whale', 'Moments Gone', and
well as the latest single (the cut we played) 'No Way To Decide'.
* Tristan Dingemans, vocalist and guitarist for New Zealand sonic rock
band H.D.U. is presenting his solo project Kahu on Thursday 4th
March 8pm at Happy.
* Napier 3-piece Jakob are releasing their Semaphore 7 inch single
in Europe later this month through the Hellsquad label. Jakob are heading
overseas in July, performing in Chicago on the way to the Forma Nova Festival
in Denmark.
* The Kiss tour of Australia has not been announced yet however. leaked
information suggests that Limp Bizkit won't be opening, but Grinspoon
and Spiderbait are.
* Spiderbait and 28 Days are touring with Channel V's Billabong
Detour Bus and the first visit ever to Tasmania was a resounding success.
Over 5,000 kids turned up to see the bands and boarders.
