NEWS:
* The St Kilda Festival organisers have announced the acts for the main
stage of this year's festival. Performing on Sunday February 8 on the
St Kilda beach foreshore from 11:45am till 10pm will be: Wicked Beat Sound
System, Regurgitator, Full Fathoms, Spod, Little Birdy, Bomba, Second
Dan, The Spazzys and Monica Weightman. For more details information see

* Kylie Minogue is the recipient of the PPCA (Phonographic Performance
Company Of Australia) Most Broadcast Australian Recording Artist Award
for 2003. Taxiride got Most Broadcast Australian Recording Award for 2003
with their single "Creepin' Up Slowly". The PPCA awards are
based on extensive radio playlists collated by PPCA for both local and
international recording artists in the 2002/03 financial year. They are
not based on fan votes, charts or sales.
* After five years with EMI, Modular Recordings has switched to Universal
for marketing and distribution. Modular's roster includes The Avalanches,
Ben Lee, Rocket Science, The Bumblebeez, Cut Copy, and The Presets, and
international artists Jack Johnson, Jesse Malin, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and
Gary Jules.
* New Zealand's Goodshirt, will play at Big Day Out's first show in Auckland
(Friday Jan 16) as well as the festival's Gold Coast (18) and first Sydney
(23) shows. With strong support from Triple J, this will be their fifth
visit in the past 12 months. They have a new single "Buck It Up"
in March, followed by an album entitled "Fiji Baby".
