NEWS:

BIRD BLOBS will tour Sydney and Newcastle this December, performing with Laissez Faire, Quarter Acre, The Null and Castings.

SMALLGOODS launch their debut album, 'Listen To The Radio', this month and are performing several shows in NOvember. The album is in stores through Half A Cow Records and MGM distribution.

Festival Mushroom Records has signed Perth band Eskimo Joe. The four piece were previously signed to Modular Recordings. The band's first FMR release is out next year.

The 2003 Motorola Dance Music Awards saw four acts Phil K, Vicious Vinyl, 1200 Techniques and Infusion win multi-awards. We played tracks from Infusion (Best Single 'Dead Souls, Best Producer) and1200 Techniques (Best Album - 'Choose One', Best Hip Hop Act)
The award for Best Debut Artist went to Downsyde.

Powderfinger have a brand new single ready for the summer. "Sunsets" is their third single from their triple platinum selling album "Vulture Street".

Sydney agit-rockers Urban Guerillas play "The Concert For Joel" to raise money for the family of Joel Exner. He was a 16 year old who died after falling off a construction site a month ago at Eastern Creek. The band played to the 10,000-strong rally for Exner off the back of a truck outside State Parliament House in Maquarie Street.

The new album, "Modern ARTillery" from The Living End has gone gold (35, 000 + sales) after four weeks in the charts. Their first album (the eponymously titled Living End) has just hit the 350,000 mark (or platinum five times over) in Australia.

Wellington based independent label Loop have recently had some good news. Shock Records have signed the Loop catalogue for Australia. The next release in Australia is 'Loop Select 004', which is also due for UK release in October through Timewarp.
