A new Sydney-based record label called Feel has just launched with a
2-CD 45-track collection "Tales From the Australian Underground - Singles
1976-1989". The compilation was four years in the makingand includes tracks
from the previous careers of Hoodoo Gurus (The Victims & Fun Things),
Gangajang (The Riptides), The Cruel Sea (Sekret Sekret), Dave Graney (The
Moodists), Big Heavy Stuff (Ups & Downs), You Am I (The Bamboos), Tex
Perkins, (Thug), Dirty Three (Venom P. Stinger) and early releases from
Radio Birdman, The Saints, The Scientists, Triffids, Died Pretty,
The Mark Of Cain and the Hard-Ons. There are also tracks never released
on CD before, from Pel Mel, Sunnyboys, Sardine, Psycho Surgeons, The Leftovers,
Do Re Mi, The Numbers, Tactics, X and Wet Taxis.
Billabong has hooked up with Channel [V] to expand the entertainment
on [V]'s double decker bus tour. This year, the entertainment includes
