The 2002 b.net New Zealand Music Awards are approaching and plans for the event keep getting bigger and better. For the first time ever, the awards will be accompanied by 'Heads Up!!!', a compilation co-release through b.net, Amplifier.co.nz and Festival Mushroom Records. Australian all-girl band Lash head off this week to Romania to play the Golden Stag Festival (4th to 8th of September), a premier music event showcasing some of the best up and coming bands from all corners of the globe. Up to 10,000 people come a year to the picturesque town of Brasov is a massive outdoor concert set against the mountains of old Transylvania. It has featured artists such as INXS, Kylie Minogue, James Brown and Christina Aguilera. Lash have just completed the first tour of East Timor since it became a nation in 2001.
