The second single from NZ kids Mighty Scoop is Stay Awake and has received support from NZ On Air in the form of a new recordings grant as well as a video recordings grant.

Christchurch band Pine released their debut album called Longplayer in New Zealand on July the 4th. The new album will also make it's way to Australia and Europe courtesy of a distribution deal organised by Arch Hill. We played the track Beaten Again ealier in the month and thought we should revisit it because it rawks.

The "Secret Life Of Us 2" soundtrack (Liberation Music), has gone gold, for sales of 35,000. Among the acts featured on the album are Motor Ace, Something For Kate, Waikiki, Killing Heidi, paulmac, Eskimo Joe, Wicked Beat Sound System, Anika Moa, Snout, Lazy Susan, george, The Superjesus, On Inc and Abby Dobson. Wildside band Rubicon release their debut album 'Primary' this week. The three-piece recorded their album at Auckland's Revolver Studios over summer while band member Paul Reid's teenage terror Shortland Street character Marshall was conveniently incarcerated in prison for making amphetamines at home.
