Host Name: lynnie and eugenius

Welcome once again to our playlist. New stuff from 1200 techniques and
Pound system this week and we featured MUTA on MP#Zone. The five Australian
choices for MTV's International Viewers Choice Awards are Silverchair's
"The Greatest View", Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head", 1200
Technique's "Karma", Holly Vallance's "Kiss Kiss" and GT's ("This Is Not
A) Love Song".
Unfortunately, some of our listeners don't care too much for the sounds
of 1200 techniques but love to hear music from artists like The Vines
(who have even found their way onto the UMFM Chart!). They have also become
the first Australian band to debut in the UK Top 5 album charts with a
debut release. The "Highly Evolved" album came into the July 15 UK charts
at #3, behind Red Hot Chili Peppers and Oasis.
Goodshirt were winners of yet another award last week. The video clip
for their song "Place To Be" took top honours at the New Zealand Music
Video Awards held as part of the Wellington Fringe Film Festival.
The Tasmanian Liberals used Hunters & Collectors' "Holy Grail" as part
of the party's election launch which reportedly had singer Mark Seymour
spitting chips :)
