It had to happen...
I spent a whole bunch of money last week and bought some kewl music from
SmokeCDS.com so this week we played
music from some of the discs. Now some of you might feel that my selections
are a bit mainstream but ... the less mainstream stuff will arrive in
the coming weeks :)

yay! one of my favorite tracks ever by Superette redone in hifi! thanks to panam and the cool kats at flying nun. that track taken from the "Under the Influence" disc. the D4 and betchadupa are two more artists featured on the comp and also bands whose CD's I recently started craving. we chose the track filthy mcnasty because the titled soundsed fun and the song sounds like old STP.

the kasey chambers track (cover of a Paul Kelly tune that we took off
"Women at the Well: the songs of Paul Kelly") took some of a
listeners quite by surprise and we had calls where they were saying things
like "who was that" and "I must get that CD!" 
You Am I have been favorites of mine for a long time. And lynne and I
had a hard time believing that it has been three years since Shihad released
The General Electric.

Continuing to buck the trend, Janet, Kram and Whit from Spiderbait served up a beat-tastic treat and Subware are dub-a-licious. Yah, I'm tired ...

We finally got the full legth from the Vines and then we caved to the incessant requests from old ex-pat Aussies for some Cold Chisel.
