the news

* Kylie's current tour of Sydney and Melbourne is a sell out. Frontier Touring has had to add more dates and Frontier Touring managing director Michael Gudinski reckons it's his fastest selling tour ever except for Pearl Jam. We decided to play Ben Lee instead of Kylie.

* The fourth single off Bluebottle Kiss' "Revenge Is Slow" album, is "Father's Hands". The track "Gangsterland" is one of the previous singles from the album. "Father's Hands", out this week, was written while Jamie Hutchings was in Scotland after the band's horrendous tour of the States. Of the US tour, Hutchings says, "We lived like rats. Rats get to know their limitations pretty quick. Coming home was a good thing!"

* We just got the new Alex Lloyd into the station so we can play something other than the tired "amazing"

* Wellington dub act The Black Seeds will be playing a Winter Mash Up gig this Friday night, marking the start of their nationwide 2002 Winter Tour. Tour dates are online at http://www.theblackseeds.com. Their debut full length 'Keep On Pushing' has now sold several thousand copies in New Zealand and will be released in Australia and Europe before the end of the year.

* Subware have just released their self-titled debut album through Reliable Records. The ten track album, took three years to make and hit local stores last week. It will also be released in Australia, the UK and Europe before year's end. the album's two vocal tracks which feature Sandy Milne and Jessica Maffen.
