Believe it or not I have been hibernating for the past little while and when I came out of my deep sleep I had changed. Somehow the arms and legs I had when I began my deep slumber had metamorphosized into long tentacle-like appendages. It is very hard to type on a traditional keyboard with these things although the mouse is not as tough. Hope everyone is well. As I get the hang of things here in octopus-land you'll be hearing more from us. here's the songlist for ya!

We started off with a song of Lynne's choice.

She likes the German mixed in there:

Artist - track (label)

  • not from there - sich offnen (mushroom)
  • josh abrahams - headroom (shock)
  • front end loader - heightened state of awareness (shock)

Okay, SHOCK recently won the Governor of Victoria Export Award for the second time. Online orders at www.shockexports.com.au have increased by 200% in the past 12 months and acts such as Screamfeeder, Frenzal Rhomb, Josh Abrahams and Bodyjar have been licensed for distribution in the USA, UK, Japan, Singapore and the Philippines. To say nothing else, Shock rocks.
Congrats and keep up the great work!
I know it's slightly old news for an upcoming event but... in celebration of the November 27 reissue of '80s guitar band The Scientists' "Blood Red River," Kim Salmon is playing two star-studded shows. The Avalanches were set to play at Homelands but that's been cancelled. They're still on tap for the Falls festival though. The latest additions to the Falls Festival include Reef, the Avalanches, Groove Terminator, Nitocris, Epicure and 78 Saab. The event is being held December 30 and 31 and is headlined by silverchair.

Okay, we resurrected MP#Zone at last and played mistake theory (NZ) and forty alexander (oz). You can find mistake theory music at www.mp3.com and forty alexander at www.mp3.com.au

  • mistake theory - child (mp3)
  • forty alexander - red, yellow, and blue (mp3)

Finally, Creative New Zealand have announced the recipients of grants from their second funding round of 2000. We're warned to expect a fresh bunch of Creative NZ-assisted albums from artists including: Jakob (just got their last album - rocks HUGE!), Mestar, Sola Rosa, Sugarbug, Jody Lloyd, Peter Jefferies, David Kilgour, The Renderers' Maryrose Crook, former Thela member Paul Douglas and Nathan Haines' brother Joel. Interested in the handouts?
    See http://www.creativenz.govt.nz for more information.

  • the renderers - dream of the sea (silt breeze)
  • the stereo bus - nova scotia (flying nun)

And that was about it. We finished with some fun stuff from the stereo bus because we love them so much. Pink is a good colour - not dissimilar to the colour of my limbs....
