Katie Livingston at MIT maintains a mailing list, formerly called KiwiMusic.
It is now called NZPOP-L for reasons beyond anyone's control.
It is a nice list, with nice people mailing interesting and nice information.
To subscribe:

eMail a request to listserv@mitvma.mit.edu with a line in the message-body (not the subject-line) reading:

SUB NZPOP-L "your real name"

where you replace "your real name" with the name you use in everyday life :)

Nothing Happening (nothinghappening) discusses and promotes Australian and New Zealand alternative/independent music covering lo-fi, skewed pop, alt-country, post rock etc.
